Matka King

Matka King, set between 1964 and 1975, follows Brij Bhatti, an ambitious cotton trader. He partners with a former soldier and an upper-class widow to create 'Matka,' a gambling game that transforms an elite pastime into a parallel economy for a generation disillusioned with the new republic.
