Diya Aur Baati Hum The story follows Sandhya in her training as an Indian Police Service officer. She hopes to break the confines of her life of values that are based on middle class. This story also focuses on Sooraj she is Self-made Man . Sooraj is the owner of a renowned dessert shop in the vicinity of his home. Sooraj and Sandhya marry under difficult situations. Sandhya has to deal with her strict mother-in law who doesn't accept that her daughter-in law could be an officer in the police force. The tale reveals how her husband gives her support and encourages her realize her dream.
