Balika Vadhu

Set set in rural Rajasthan, 'Balika Vadhu follows the long and difficult path of the child bride Anandi as she transitions from growing up to the stage of womanhood. At the age of eight to an equally youthful Jagdish and an unfamiliar world that is both disorienting and perplexing. Separated from childhood bliss and her loved ones She must accept and adapt to the new world of strangers, new friendships and assume her new roles as the lover, friend as well as a wife and mother while she navigates her way through the world.
