Zee Bangla premieres the first sketch comedy program on Bengali TV, Apur Sangsar directed by Saswata Chatterjee (Bob Biswas from Kahani fame). The show is a family circus, where there aren’t clowns or lions, but you’ll be in the swing of laughter. Apus family comprises Sarbojaya her widowed mother of three boys who has a crush on Dev The Superstar and, in her prayer, prays for her oldest son Apu who is a bank worker, will be just the same as Dev the Superstar. While the younger sons Topu and Dipu, who are aspiring poets and Dipu the film star by heart, both are unemployed. And to top it off, Apus spouse, Sharmila, is an accomplished actress, who was married to Apu for the reason that he lives close to film studios. The last but certainly not least the garnishing is from Dhananjoy as the male servant to the household that is constantly involved in ever-ending trouble. Also, celebrity guests will appear in every episode, adding the confusion in comedy.
